Hidey Ho & Away We Go!

I never thought that I would be blogging!  However, after fighting with the distortion created by uploading my images to FB, I needed to do something different...and fast!


My name is Christy, and honestly, I never thought that I would say that I am a photographer.  I love taking pictures, and I love to share them with those around me.  Over the past eight years, I have listened to a very dear friend ask me time and time again, "Christy, when are you going to do something with your pictures?"  I have been trying to ignore the creativity inside, but it has finally found it's way out.  So, I guess it's time to do "something."


So where did the name Sweet Somethings come from?  Glad you asked!  When I was trying to come up with a suitable name, I struggled with wanting to include something that had to do with both of my children.  After beating my head against the wall (not really, but I had the headache just as badly) for about a week, I finally found myself sitting at my desk at work staring at the image on the background wallpaper of my computer.  This is what I saw....

I thought to myself, "What are my kids?  They are my sweet babies.  To most, they mean nothing, but they mean something to me.  They are my sweet somethings."  Voila!  Sweet Somethings.  They are my sweet somethings.  And that is how the name came about.  :)  And without further ado, here are my sweet somethings....


Meet Micah~

Since mommy started taking pictures, he has become my camera hog.  He loves having his picture taken and it shows!  He has big, beautiful blue eyes like his daddy and doesn't sit still for long.  He is truly my bouncing baby boy!


Meet Maddie~

Now, this one is a mess!  I think that she is going to be the one that tries my patience to the max.  And don't let her smile fool you...she has a temper like you wouldn't believe!  She is into everything all the time and a quick mover.  Gotta be quick with the shutter to catch this one! 


So there you have it.  My first ever blog...and how it all came to this.  :)
